“Let Go of the Past”
Exodus 32:1- And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him (KJV).
There's nothing worse than having an old mentality in a new position. A thought from Israel's past became an idol in their future. They built a calf because that's what they were familiar with when they were in Egypt.
How often is it that we realize that God wants to bring us into a new place, but we prohibit the move of God because we are stuck in an old mentality...stuck in the past. If we don't deal with our past, it will destroy our blessing.
