“Be Anxious for Nothing”

Philippians 4:6- Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. NKJV

It is an awesome thing to know that God says we can make our request known to Him. The beauty of our God is that He wants His children to be free to come to Him as a child does its daddy. Paul instructs us how to approach our Father, “be anxious for nothing.” In other words, we do not approach God in a tizzy, as my great-grandmother would have said. God operates in peace and will not move outside of it. He doesn’t have peace, HE IS PEACE, therefore we have the promise of His hearing us when we trust Him enough to come through the door of peace.
